Will the Microsoft LifeChat LX-3000 USB Digital Stereo Headset work with the Xbox 360?

I want something where I can here the game play audio, but at the same time I want to hear the voices in chat really clearly and not have them drowned out by the game volume. Please let me know if this is compatible with the Xbox 360.

No. I have it and it does not work on the 360. To hear voice, your headset has to plug into the controller. The LifeChat line requires drivers which can't be installed on the 360 too.

Headphone need another jack... HELP!?

I assume that you have a regular PC with a sound card built in.

I also assume that there are several connectors for loudspeakers or headphones and that there is just one connector for a microphone.

If it is as you say, that there's only one single connector and you can either plug in a microphone or a headphone, then the cable your link points to wouldn't help. Since it's only one connector and since you need three connections for a set of headphones (ground, left signal and right signal), you can't connect a microphone to it at the same time (which would need at least ground and one signal line).

In essence, either you connect the headphones to where you would connect the speakers to on your computer, or you post a picture of the connectors of your computer somewhere and I'll take a look at it. Maybe I can help you then.
