Logitech Headset Playstation 2

How do you get the playstation 2 headset to work on the pc? Does it even work on the PC?

I have checked the volume control, device driver, and many other things to try and get the headset to work. Either I am not doing something right or all of the sites I have been to are lying to me and the headset won't work on the PC. Can someone please tell me how to get this headset to work? It is plugged into the USB port. It is a logitech. My PC says the device is working properly but there is no sound on the speaker and nothing from the microphone. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Check the "default device" drop down boxes on the Sound control panel's Audio and Voice tabs. You may have to tell Windows to use the headset instead of the onboard sound card. Might want to uncheck "use only default devices" if it's checked. Mine worked great with my PC till it died. I used it a lot with Skype. (This was the Sony branded, Logitech built one that was sold seperately and had the mute button with volume control on it.)
