Plantronics earbud gamecomx20 vs microsoft xbox 360 headset.. plz answer?

i recently had a plantronics over head model and it shorted out and i cant hear out of it but can talk out of it and hear through the speakers but not very loud, i used to have the original headset but gave it to a friend, but it worked pretty good and never broke, now i don't know if i should trust plantronics or microsoft what should i do? also feel free to write your expericences if you want i would most appreciate it

I have heard a lot of bad things about plantronics headsets as I was looking to buy one recently. I heard that they short out a lot because of not-so-good wiring in headset.

I actually went with a Motorola over the head EA Sports headset and I could not be happier. It is one that covers one of your ears entirely and it is wired. It is comfortable and I can hear and talk clearly. I got mine for like 9 bucks on Amazon.
