Voice recording and using voice recognition to transcribe?

Could anyone describe an effective and economical method of taking notes via a voice recorder then playing that back on a pc and having the pc transcribe it for you. Use would be for road inspections. So drive along taking notes. then back in the office have those notes written up for collation

The best way would be to use a transcription service. Many work-at-home women would love to do this.

The technology isn't there yet to do it right. IOW, you would spend more times fixing things than to just enter it yourself by hand.
