How do you program your mac to answer questions with speech recognition?

I was wondering how to program my mac to answer the quesiton...Mac want a beer? Then I want my mac to reply through speech recognition Yea Gimme a Miller Light....How do I do that?

Thanks

OK, here is the best i got for you...(and for the record, speech TOTALLY creeps me out, i CANNOT stand it....ughhhh *shivers*).
when you are on finder click on the apple, sytem preferences, speech, text to speech. then click on "speak selected text when key is pressed. it will give you an option, hold down something like shift s or something. then go to a webpage or word doc and highlight some text and press your special code...wallah a creep voice asking for a miller...
What you want needs to be programmed somewhere into global speakable items? I can see what needs to be done, but not how...sorry.
Hope that you at least get a few kicks out of the text to speech

This is essential to the training and proper functioning of these speech recognition systems. A naive user cannot simply pick up the system and instantly use it. Putting Linguistics into Speech Recognition

Putting Linguistics into Speech Recognition

Most computer programs that analyze spoken dialogue use a spoken command grammar, which limits what the user can say when talking to the system. To make this process simpler, more automated, and effective for command grammars even at initial stages of a project, the Regulus grammar compiler was developed by a consortium of experts--including NASA scientists. This book presents a complete description of both the practical and theoretical aspects of Regulus and will be extremely helpful for students and scholars working in computational linguistics as well as software engineering.

Free Speech Recognition Software - Pay Less For Your Speech Recognition Software

They say there's no such thing as a free lunch. Well some of my ex-girlfriends would disagree, but that's another story. Is there though, such a thing as free speech recognition software? Yes, of course. Virtually every type of software has a free version nowadays.

The question we should be asking is:

Is it worth getting, or like other free software, will it turn out to be an exercise in frustration?

I'm going to look at 3 different pieces of free speech recognition software...

E-Speaking - Free for 30 days and then it's only a little over 10 bucks. So is it worth using? Considering it uses an outdated model, I would say no. It's inexpensive, but for those of you who use a modern version of Microsoft Windows, you'd be better off using:

Windows Speech Recognition - Available on Vista and Windows 7, this truly fantastic for the price. And let me tell you that the price is FREE. Can't get better than that. Whatever you say about Microsoft and Windows, and generally I say good things, you can't fault them for this. Windows Speech Recognition blows the competition, even the premium competition, right out of the water. It is only surpassed by Dragon Naturally Speaking. I suppose it's not something you can go out and buy and it's also not immediately obvious, but if you use Vista or 7 and need free speech recognition software, this is an excellent way to start.

Tazti Speech Recognition - Well, it's just that. Voice recognition. It won't made notes for you, but it will navigate through your programs with just your voice. It's free and easy to use. If you don't need dictation, go get it.

So, in a nutshell, it depends on what you need:

* Got Windows Vista or 7? Use the built in free speech recognition software.
* Otherwise, e-speaking is pretty good or
* If you don't need dictation try out Tazti, it's free so you got nothing to lose.
