Dragon Software Microphones
Speech software and hardware recommendation?
Is there a device that I can record on like a digital tape recorder that i can keep with me for my notes. Than hook up to my computer and have them transcribed into a word document etc... I know about the dragon software but you have to speak into a microphone at the cpu itself. Thanks for the help!
Do not know of any. Any speech recognition is a very CPU hungry proccess. So the device, even if it existed would be comparable in price to the cost of a bare bone computer system. Plus Dragon Naturally speaking requires about 1 GB of free space (+ your Operating system another 2 GB)

How to convert streaming speech to text?
So I need to be able to convert streaming speech to text. I have Natural Dragon Speaking but that requres you to have a microphone going into it to do this...I've also tried having transcribed it because I'd record the speech of characters and it would mess up because it thinks its words. I either need software that automatically converts audio that goes to speakers to work as a line in as a microphone in realtime or I need a way of automatically recognizing the letters I'm saying and put them into text. The only way of doing this on dragon natural speaking I believe is through the spell command with a microphone so it spells out the letters like I'd like. Please help I need any possible suggestions? would a headphone jack with 2 male endings with one plugged into speaker output and other connected to mic in work? Any suggestions are appreciated.
in Natural Dragon Speaking you dont need a microphone u just need to hold down windows key + e (windows key is located between alt and ctrl)
